Learn to read music and play by ear:
Reading music is one of the fundamentals of playing piano. It allows you to play from a wide variety of musical styles. Our students learn at their own level in their own comfort zone, and with a little work quickly become proficient.
Students also learn to play “by ear,” without sheet music. We teach the way professional musicians learn, combining ear training with music theory to help you hear the notes in your head and then play them on the piano. Through the study of song melodies, chords and chord voicings, and rhythms, you learn to analyze tunes and musical styles, to transpose and alter melodies, to write your own arrangements and create your own tunes.
